The exact scope of work, frequency, cleaning level, service date, duration, and any special instructions will be confirmed at booking, in a written quote, invoice, service agreement, or other written communication. We may use our discretion to decline tasks that are unsafe, unlawful, unsanitary beyond the scope of agreed services, or otherwise impractical. We do not provide services requiring specialized licencing, hazardous materials handling, pest control, mold remediation, biohazard cleanup, or other regulated remediation services unless expressly agreed in writing and lawfully permitted.
3. User Obligations and Responsibilities
By booking or receiving our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information when booking or communicating with us;
- Ensure safe, lawful, and reasonable access to the premises at the scheduled time;
- Disclose any known hazards, security systems, pets, fragile items, water leaks, pests, bodily fluids, biohazards, or other conditions that may affect service delivery;
- Secure or remove valuables, cash, jewelry, important documents, firearms, and sensitive items before service begins;
- Ensure utilities such as electricity, water, and heat are available where reasonably required for the service;
- Obtain all necessary permissions from landlords, property managers, employers, co-occupants, or any other relevant persons;
- Use our services only for lawful purposes and not ask us to perform illegal, unsafe, or discriminatory acts;
- Inspect the premises and report any concerns or alleged damage to us within a reasonable time after service completion;
- Pay all applicable fees in accordance with these Terms and any written estimate or invoice.
You are responsible for ensuring that the premises are reasonably prepared for cleaning. Excessive clutter, hoarding conditions, severe contamination, or unreported hazards may result in rescheduling, additional charges, or refusal to perform all or part of the service.
4. Payment Terms and Conditions
Fees are based on the agreed service type, property size, condition, frequency, duration, requested add-ons, staffing requirements, and any other factors stated in your estimate or booking confirmation. All prices are subject to applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Payment is due as specified in the invoice, booking confirmation, or service agreement.
- We may require a deposit, pre-authorization, or full prepayment before service begins.
- For recurring services, charges may be billed on a recurring schedule as agreed.
- Late or declined payments may result in suspension of services, late fees to the extent permitted by law, collection activity, and recovery of reasonable costs of enforcement.
- Any additional work requested on site, or required due to unanticipated conditions, may be billed separately at our then-current rates or as otherwise agreed.
If you dispute an invoice, you must notify us promptly and provide reasonable details of the dispute. Undisputed amounts remain payable when due.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations and rescheduling requests should be made as early as possible and, where applicable, in accordance with the notice period stated in your booking confirmation or service agreement.
- Cancellations made with insufficient notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
- If our team arrives and cannot complete the service due to lack of access, unsafe conditions, unreported hazards, or customer unavailability, a service fee, travel fee, or cancellation fee may apply.
- Refunds, if any, are issued at our discretion and in accordance with applicable law, taking into account the services already performed and costs incurred.
- Where a service issue is reported, we may, at our option, offer a re-clean, service credit, partial refund, or other reasonable remedy.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, dissatisfaction arising from conditions outside our control, including pre-existing damage, structural defects, poor maintenance, or undisclosed hazards, does not automatically entitle you to a refund.
6. Liability Limitations
Maple Shine Cleaning Services Ltd. will perform services with reasonable care and skill. However, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable Canadian law, we are not liable for:
- Pre-existing damage, wear and tear, hidden defects, or damage resulting from the age or condition of the premises or items;

- Indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of use.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the services or these Terms shall be limited, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law, including liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
You are encouraged to maintain appropriate insurance for your property and belongings. Any claim of damage must be reported promptly and supported with reasonable evidence, including photographs and a description of the alleged incident.
